And as a separate post (because it's a separate place), here are a handful of photos from Carcassonne, where I went for a day-trip at the weekend. Carcassonne is basically famous for its old fortified city, which is basically the subject (and/or location) of all of these photos, because the rest of the town is relatively unremarkable to my eye (except maybe for the old bridge leading to the fortified city, which shows up in a few of these photos).
